Aralia Fabian

Aralia Fabian

What is the Aralia Fabian?

This plant is tree-like in appearance and hails from Polynesia. But fret not, even this tropical plant can be happy in a Chicago office space! This plant can also come in smaller sizes and look more like a stump rather than a tree. This unique plant sometimes has leaves with slightly purple undersides, so pick this plant if you want to go for a more unique design.

Aralia Fabian Care Needs

Like many indoor plants, the Aralia Fabian enjoys bright, indirect light. Placing this plant in a south-facing window could scorch the leaves, but keeping the Aralia Fabian in a dark corner will cause the plant to become leggy. Placing plants in dark areas also increases the risk of root rot, a condition when a plant is overwatered, causing the roots to become mushy.

If you are into unique plants, the Aralia Chicken Gizzard could not be any more unusual! The leaf shape on this plant looks, well, like a chicken gizzard!
If you want a tall tree that could survive in low light conditions, the Mass Cane is a great option. Although it looks very different from the Aralia Fabian, it might be the plant for you if your environment is susceptible to changes in light.
