What is the Philodendron Selloum Hope?
We know what you’re thinking and no it is not a Monstera! The Philodendron Selloum Hope is a unique plant with gorgeous ruffly leaves that is sometimes mistaken for a Monstera deliciosa. The Philodendron Selloum Hope does not have any leaf fenestrations, but instead has lobes on the leaf. This plant’s leaves can grow up to 5’ wide, so allow plenty of space so she can grow.
Philodendron Selloum Hope Care Needs
This plant does love the sun and will be the happiest in a bright area such as near a south-facing window or in a west or east-facing window. Direct light could scorch those beautiful leaves! Because the Philodendron Selloum Hope can grow outwards, it’s best to rotate the plant every time it’s serviced so it grows evenly. We don’t want it to flop over!!
The Philodendron Selloum Hope also tends to enjoy warmer and more humid environments. For example, if you turn off the heating at night in a Chicago office, this plant might not be the happiest.
